We were delighted to present our August Community Champion award to Tom Kelly from Aylesbury in Tallaght, who raised funds for charity by doing a 690km walk across Ireland this summer.
Tom raised the funds in memory of his youngest daughter Leah who sadly passed away in August 2013 from a cancer known as ependymoma.
Tom said that he was honoured to be awarded and was happy that it would help gain more recognition for his cause Footprints For Leah. Tom’s walk started on July 18th in Malin Head, Donegal and finished on August 2nd in Mizen Head in Cork.
We gave Tom a €100 gift card and a plaque to honour his amazing efforts. Congratulations Tom, we think you’re a true hero!
