Dear Colleagues/Friends,

On 22nd June 2018, we will say a very sad farewell to the Centres Commercial Manager, Cathryn McMenamy as she leaves her role in the Centre.

Cathryn has worked for the Centre since 1992 and has been an integral part of the Management Team throughout this time. The Centre has been through a huge amount of change and challenges over these years and Cathryn has always shown the best of Tallaght and the Centre with her professional and engaging approach. Her drive, energy and passion for the customer has ensured that the people of Tallaght always have had a Centre that they can be proud of.

I have had the pleasure of working with Cathryn for the past 6 years and I can honestly say that the growth and improvements we have had in this time would simply not have been possible without Cathryn’s hard work and dedication. Its actually hard to imagine the Centre without her and this is testament to how important she has been.

Cathryn gave many local groups and charities a platform to promote themselves and worked tirelessly with community groups to improve people’s lives in Tallaght and the wider areas. Sponsorship with Shamrock Rovers to run breakfast clubs and training events with local schools, providing much needed medical equipment to Tallaght hospital, supporting Students Union in ITT, Christmas Toy Appeal, Christmas dinner for the elderly of Tallaght and Ooopsadaisy Kids Club are just some of the great work that was done as well as achieving a first class event program throughout the year culminating in the Centres showcase Santa arrival.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cathryn for 26 years of amazing service and I am sure you will all join me in wishing her every success for the next chapter of her life.

As its says in “Cathryn’s Corner” on the Centre Mall, “There are no strangers here, just friends you have yet to meet!”

Cathryn! Thanks for being a great friend to the people of Tallaght and the Square for 26 years.

Jack
